The Deepak Foundation, headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, had conducted an ASER-based assessment with approximately 7,000–8,000 government school students supported through its education programmes. The collected data was available in Excel format and required cleaning, organisation, and analysis following the standard ASER survey approach, including age-wise, gender-wise, and other key disaggregations. To support this, an in-person training was conducted in Vadodara for up to 10 participants, covering Excel-based data management and analysis, including data cleaning and generating basic tables. The training also included sessions on types of qualitative data, interpretation of findings, and report design and writing, to enable the Deepak Foundation team to share results with donors and partner schools.
