As requested by DIET Jajpur, a three-day capacity-building workshop on data understanding was conducted in August 2024. The objective was to help teachers and students understand the importance of data and how to analyse and report on it. Sessions were structured as a mix of guided discussion and direct instruction, with participants given practical tasks. Topics covered included how to read and analyse a report, disaggregated data and its role in analysis, the purpose and importance of data collection, and questionnaire design. In the final session, participants were given the task of understanding and analysing ASER data tables, an exercise that connected directly with their experience as ASER survey volunteers.
