Dhamtari Assessment
The study assessed children’s learning outcomes in language and mathematics, while also examining factors associated with learning, including teacher skills and attitudes, classroom practices, school infrastructure, and School Management Committee (SMC) functioning. ASER Centre developed and administered assessment tools for children and teachers, conducted classroom observations and school surveys, and analysed the relationship between teacher competencies and student achievement. The findings were used to provide evidence-based recommendations to the district administration for strengthening teaching-learning processes and improving educational outcomes in government schools.
